Commencer avec une tomate verte pour finir avec une tomate rouge?  Cet exercice vise à modeler un objet de couleur rouge en utilisant sa couleur complémentaire, le vert. Plusieurs couches de différents tons de vert sont d'abord appliquées, afin de modeler l'objet et créer des ombres.  J'ai utilisé la démonstration présentée dans le livre "Masterful Color" d'Arlene Steinberg pour ce dessin, avec son aimable permission.

Starting with a green tomato and ending up with a red one?  This is a good way to establish color and value with colored pencils.  I had to start with a complementary tonal underpainting to achieve this drawing.  This comes from a demonstration in the book "Masterful Color" by Arlene Steinberg, with her kind permission.
