"Gatto"

J'ai acheté cet authentique masque vénitien lors de mon dernier voyage à Venise en 2009.  Il est donc fait à la main, en papier mâché.  

Premier dessin avec des crayons de couleur aquarellables Faber-Castell.  Papier Fabriano Studio Watercolor, 140 lb, Cold Press.  Encore une fois, je ne peux pas dire que le papier m'a facilité la tâche.  Il est supérieur à Strathmore mais il est difficile de peindre par couches ou d'apporter des corrections.  Le papier boit l'eau très rapidement. Un artiste ayant un style libre, spontané pourrait l'apprécier mais une débutante comme moi...

I bought this hand-made venetian mask while I was on vacation in Venice in 2009.  It is made of papier maché,  This is my first watersoluble colored pencils drawing (Faber-Castell).  Fabriano Studio watercolor paper, 140 lb, Cold press.  Again, I wasn't impress by the quality of this paper.  It's better than Strathmore but it's difficult to add layers and make corrections.  The paper absorbs water too fast. You are forced to lay down colour fast, freely and bold which is rather difficult for a beginner like me.
